Nightsong Farms Fiber is raised and processed right here at the farm. Our herds are closed and we breed only the best and only when replacements are needed. Our animals are raised for fiber, fed food to produce fiber, medicated only when needed and the fleeces are handled to produce the best fleeces we possibly can. Our fleeces are not covered as the temperature and humidity do not allow this. Our fleeces are heavily skirted and shaken, washed and dyed with the greatest of care. Our colorsways are well thought out and give our customers the brightest and lovliest finished product.

All fiber is handprocessed unless otherwise marked. It is available in both wool and mohair unless marked. Some blends are not repeatable. Please buy all that you think you need for a project. While we make valiant efforts at repeating colors we cannot guarantee that different lots will be exactly the same shade. Fiber crimp, density and curl as well as color genetics often cause slight variations in color. Yarn is not reliably consistent from lot to lot so get what you think you need at once.

We aim to please our customers. If you are not satisfied we will return your money when you return the fiber. Shipping is the customers responsibility. One way shipping will be refunded on returns. Fiber kept over two weeks will not be accepted. Please check your order as soon as it comes in and be sure all is well.

General informatioin: Washed and dyed fiber is washed, dyed and if needed picked. If you do not want it picked please say so in your order. Curly mohair is never picked unless you request it. We use a few drops of lavendar in the final wash to prevent moths. Please let us know if you do not want it.

Raw and natural fiber
Raw wool is available at the beginning of Oct and Mar only. Once I start dyeing it will all be dyed. Raw wool is priced at $1.00/0z. It is heavily skirted only.

I do not sell raw mohair.

Natural fibers (undyed) are priced at 10 cents an ounce less than washed and dyed. It will be washed and heavily skirted.
